NFL Playoffs Blog!

This is the fun part! Here’s where we start to brainstorm this year’s cocktails. My posts will offer my initial suggestions, but I welcome comments with additional thoughts—some of the best names have come from those who share a fun detail about a given team that I didn’t happen to know!

The general guidelines are as follows:

—The first two rounds (Wild Card & Divisional games) are just about coming up with possible names, not the contents or any other details, with the occasional exception when the name is inherently tied to a base cocktail (i.e. the Ja’Marr-tini in 2022)

—The week leading up to the AFC and NFC Championship games is when we dig into specifics. I’ll take each of the four finalists, one by one, and start brainstorming what the cocktail might be: color, style, ingredients, any other fun features. These can derive from the team, the namesake of the cocktail, or whatever other details or even vibes feel pertinent.

—Once we have our two Super Bowl teams, I develop the actual cocktail recipes over the course of the next two weeks so they’re ready to debut in time for the big game!
