NFC Championship: The Taima
The Taima (Seattle Seahawks)
To me, it’s a no-brainer that a Seahawks cocktail should be bright green (fun fact: their official color is officially known as “action green.”) My two previous Seattle cocktails, from the very first years I did this over a decade ago, both featured midori, which is still a solid candidate and kind of the perfect color. There are also green herbal liqueurs like green chartreuse (the classic, though I think it’s still in limited production and harder to find) or similar things like Faccia Brutto Centerbe or Luxardo Del Santo. I’d also potentially be interested in incorporating the local Woodinville whiskey, whether bourbon or rye, so long as it’s possible to use whiskey without ruining the color. I was also interested to learn that the Last Word, a cocktail I quite enjoy (and which also happens to include green chartreuse), has a strong association with Seattle and is considered to have been revived there.
