AFC Championship: The It’s Gonna Be Maye
The It’s Gonna Be Maye
Let it be acknowledged upfront that the song on which this cocktail name is based, *NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me,” is older than Drake Maye, the player on whom this cocktail name is based.
We could go either red or blue here, but I’m leaning red, mostly because there are a lot more options than there are with blue. Also TBH I’m feeling cranberry vibes this year–I’ve used cranberry juice/blends before, but it’s been a while, and there are also apparently cranberry liqueurs out there as well. The Boston cocktail is also a possible influence. And lastly, I might be interested in exploring a nod to Justin Timberlake, who apparently has (had? timeline unclear) a relationship with a tequila brand, 901 Sauza, so it might become a tequila-based cocktail.
