2026 Wild Card Game 5: Chargers at Patriots

PSBC #9, in honor of the AFC #7 seed Los Angeles Chargers: I feel like this year’s cocktail should really honor Justin Herbert, so I Googled whether he had any nicknames. In the weird way of sports, there are several, but my favorite among them (at least for cocktailing purposes) gives us the Hercules.

PSBC #10, in honor of the AFC #2 seed New England Patriots: People who have followed my Super Bowl cocktails in the past are well acquainted with my long-standing aversion to Patriots cocktails. I have made so many of them and have named even more, and I was so sick of it and of them. But I have a confession to make: I no longer feel that way–or at least, not this year. Enough time has gone by and enough has changed that my hatred for the team itself has waned, but even better, I have fresh cocktail ideas again. To wit, my front runners are either: the It’s Gonna Be Maye, or some kind of delightfully juvenile Boutte pun (the Boutte Call, the Shake Your Boutte, the Boutte-licious–they practically write themselves!)
